The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as a playground!

In November 2018 and March 2019, The Grand Escape presented a special edition in the Canadian and Quebec Arts Pavilion of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, in order to showcase the exhibition to a wide audience.

Players, in teams of 2 to 6, walked down the 6 floors of the pavilion with their game book and were greeted on each level by professional actors playing characters related to the riddles. From Inuit art to contemporary art, players discovered the jewels of the MMFA while having fun.

The mission in the museum?

Archibald Marchemieux, a great admirer of the MMFA, wanted to donate an emblematic work to the museum to mark memories and escape oblivion. The story went that he had found the trail to a unique masterpiece. After years of searching, having swallowed up his entire fortune, considered insane by his family and friends, he was finally rewarded! He then decided to protect his extraordinary discovery by hiding it in the MBAM among the works already on display. He created a true initiatory journey, a mission that only the most deserving defenders and protectors of the arts could deserve to succeed.

Who was this escape game for?

This game was for everyone, from 8 years old. From 2 to 6 players. An adult was mandatory if the other players were under 15 years old.
